This exhibition explores what kind of “memories” have people strived to capture through photography and video. We aimed to train the AI on Mr. Murayama's drawings, combining them with an extensive existing dataset of paintings to generate a hybrid style that merges art history as collective knowledge with Mr. Murayama's unique artistic approach. Moreover, we are producing video works to compare and present patterns of pictorial structures that have emerged during the process of drawing with commonalities found in biological phylogenetic patterns.
