The 3rd iteration “Negative Space” was published as a series of experiments of Unsettled Music

We are currently working on “Unsettled Music”, a series of web experiments dedicated to showcasing some of our creative research on music, graphics, and machine learning. We will release a new iteration every few weeks. The 3rd iteration “Negative Space” is an experiment around negative space and the reconstruction of absence. After compressing recordings of animal sounds through a machine learning model, we highlighted a substantial residue of higher frequencies, deemed worthless by the algorithm. The visuals reflect the sound waves.
