Development of an AI model to generate original characters
In conjunction with the release of Studio Ponoc's latest film “The Imaginary” on December 15, 2023, the website “MY Imaginary Maker” has been launched, where you can meet your own imaginary friends, the “Imaginaries”. We were responsible for the development of the AI character generation system.
“My Imaginary Maker” is a website where users can easily create original characters reflecting the world of Studio Ponoc films and their imagination, utilizing a generative AI trained on Studio Ponoc's works. Users can influence the “appearance” based on the characteristics of the imaginary friend they dreamt about, and select “personality” and “things they want to do together” to create original characters based on those elements. Additionally, we're using ChatGPT to generate character backgrounds tailored to the generated images.
This initiative aims to convey the charm of the film while also presenting the potential of cutting-edge technologies such as generative AI to enhance imagination.
