Qosmo is a small team of passionate creatives based in the heart of Nakameguro, one of Tokyo’s most vibrant neighborhoods, only a short distance away from the bustling center of Shibuya. Our projects include both commercial projects for well-established Japanese and international clients, as well as purely artistic projects that have reached a global audience and have been part of events, festivals, and exhibitions worldwide.

With our vision “Advance the creativity of mankind with Art and Technology,” Qosmo is exploring new possibilities of creativity and expression by making use of the latest technology including artificial intelligence in the process of creation, and is looking for people who share these values with us.

  • Front-end Engineer 🆕
OverviewAt Qosmo, we strive to create a unique environment for AI/ML Engineers to succeed in the field of creativity. Successful candidate will work within the industry leading AI Engineering team of Qosmo under the direction of Nao Tokui. Successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop an innovative new service that will advance musical creativity using AI, helping Qosmo establish a global presence.
Work・Contribute to Qosmo’s co-R&D client projects as front-end lead
・Front-end design and continuous development of music AI platforms which consist of web services and installations
・Contribute to the broad community of AI × Creativity by giving knowledge sharing lectures and presentations
Required experience/skills・2+ years of professional experience in modern Javascript development with React or similar frameworks
・Experience with production-level stacks and infrastructures
・Good understanding of UX and UI design
・Ability and willingness to work effectively in a team environment
・Fluent in English and have willingness to learn Japanese (or the other way around)
・Passion to contribute to Qosmo’s vision: Advance the creativity of mankind with Art and Technology
・Experience with web audio frameworks

  • AI Engineer
OverviewAt Qosmo, we strive to create a unique enviroment for AI Engineers to succeed in the field of creativity. Successful candidate will work within the industry leading AI Engineering team of Qosmo under the direction of Nao Tokui. Successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead and/or contribute to a diverse range of internal and client projects, pushing the boundaries of Art and Technology, helping Qosmo establish a global presence. You can propose art projects which may be approved when aligned to the company strategy.
Work・Architect, design, develop, deploy and productionize AI systems for project delivery
・Develop methodology to and conduct evaluation of accuracy and quality of the output generated by the system
・Communicate with clients to agree on the requirements and explain details of work conducted in layman’s terms
・Research and keep up to date with the latest technologies of AI & Creativity
・Contribute to the broad community of AI x Creativity by giving knowledge sharing lectures and presentations
Required experience/skills・3+ years of professional programming experience with at least one of Python, Java or C++
・2+ years of professional experience with Machine Learning, especially Deep Learning with familiarity with modern development frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
・Strong data processing skills including but not limited to images, signals, and structured data
・Ability and willingness to work effectively in a team environment
・Fluent in English and have willingness to learn Japanese
・Masters or PhD in computer science, physics, engineering or related field
・Passion to contribute to Qosmo’s vision: Advance the creativity of mankind with Art and Technology
Optional experience/skills・Experience in taking ML models to a production system that scales to serve users continuously
・Portfolio of media and traditional art is a strong plus
